Devi Chaudhary’s family is happy to have a family toilet

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Devi Chaudhary lives with her husband, child and father in-law in Rampurwa, Nepal.  Ethnically, they are Dalits, often called Untouchables, who face stark social and economic discrimination.  Your donation, Lesley, Alice and Brad, Bill and Colleen, Dennis, Nicole, Chris and Emily, Gillian, Tom, Thomas and Bill, provided a family toilet to this family and it has drastically improved their health.  Incidentally, Devi’s husband, Mukti, is employed by BBS as a local maintenance worker and he helps the families with construction and maintenance activities for new water supply and sanitation systems.

Your gift allows Devi and her family to have a brighter future .  This is particularly important for Devi’s young son, who because of the inadequate sanitation facilities in this village was earlier at risk of not living long enough to see his 5th birthday.  Now he can grow unhindered by the negative effects that plague all communities without proper sanitation and has a better chance of reaching his full potential.

Thank you all for your gift!
