Better family health and a better future

Bhim and her two children have lived their entire lives without access to adequate sanitation facilities, until now!

Your donations provided a family toilet for Bhim and her family.  The positive impact to their health and livelihood is tremendous as it is well known that lack of proper sanitation has the largest negative impact on public health. The Living Earth Institute along with a local NGO, Development Alternative Organization (Bikas Bikalpa Sanstha- BBS), work to improve sanitation facilities and health awareness in Bhim’s rural Rampurwa Village in Nepal.

The project works with the local community to define their needs and provides the organization and resources for the village to meet them. This project also provides local income generation projects sponsored by LEI for village women.

With your gift, this family can see a brighter future where Bhim’s children can grow unhindered by the negative effects that plague all communities without proper sanitation. It will be better for their health and support them in reaching their full potential.
