A New Toilet System for Another Family in Rural Nepal

The Chaudhary family poses with thier "new addition"
Dear Marc, Ghazal, Ted Wells, IRENE SIONG HOONG, Tim, Alice and Brad, Dennis, Bill and Colleen, and Molly,

Triyogi and Sima Chaudary live in Rampurwa Village in rural Nepal.  Ethnically, they are Dalits, often called “untouchables”, who face stark social and economic discrimination.  The Living Earth Institute has been working together with a local NGO, Development Alternative Organization (Bikas Bikalpa Sanstha), to drastically improve sanitation facilities and health awareness in Rampurwa.  The project works with the local community to define their needs and provides the organization and resources for the village to meet them.

Lack of proper sanitation facilities have long been understood as the largest negative impact on public health.  The positive impact of your gift to their health and livelihood is beyond what can be easily explained or understood.  Today this family can experience a healthier life because of you, Marc, Ghazal, Ted, Irene (x2), Tim, Alice and Brad, Dennis, Bill and Colleen and Molly.

Thank you all for your gift!
