Baidhnath and Sonai live in Rampurwa Village in rural Nepal. Ethnically, they are Dalits, often called “untouchables”, who face stark social and economic discrimination. Development Alternative Organization (Bikas Bikalpa Sanstha) is working to drastically improve sanitation facilities and health awareness in Rampurwa.
The project works with the local community to define their needs and provides the organization and resources for the village to meet them. This project also provides employment for Baidhnath – he works as a mason for project construction.
Linds & Michael, Anne, Ian, Allen, Pradeep, Subash, Bill, Alice & Brad, Bill & Colleen and Marty & Lorri, thank you for supporting an organization that provides both employment and sanitation for Baidhnath and Sonai’s family.
